Physical AttributesThe breed standard maintains specifications for coat, height and weight, colour, and grooming. Airedale Terriers have a wiry outer coat and soft under coat which may sometimes appear to be wavy. It is tan in colour, with a black or grizzle ‘saddle’ marking. Keeping the coat maintained requires occasional clipping.
The average height of an Airedale is 23 inches, and their weight should be evenly proportioned to form a sturdy, well-muscled dog that stands square. |
